Finding out what you want and need

If you’re going to take the plunge and get hair extensions, we make sure we spend the time to understand exactly what you’re after. Even if you have a “dream” of having hair like someone famous, we’ll show you photo’s and hair samples to make sure you feel excited and confident about your new look.

Developing your hair journey

Sometimes your hair colour might need correcting or refreshing before we can match hair extensions. Othertimes your hair might need some Lily Jackson tender loving care by way of refreshing the haircut or supporting it with a keratin treatment. These are important foundation steps to creating an amazing look for you that will definitely turn heads.

Colour match

Once the ideal hair colour is achieved, we colour match from the large range of swatches in the Great Lengths extensions range. To get the best and most natural result our Great Length Specialists recommend 3 to 4 colours which will create the perfect blend with your own hair and give your hair natural dimension. This way, whether wearing your hair curled or straight, your hair and the extensions will blend perfectly and the subtle colour variety will enhance the appearance of volume.

Quantity of strands

The great thing about Great Lengths Hair Extensions is that you only order and pay for what you need. Hair strands are sold individually. Being able to customise your hair journey is one of the reasons Great Lengths look so good.

Great Lengths are sold by the strand; where each strand contains about 20 to 30 individual remy hair strands. Your specialist will determine how many strands you require. This generally breaks down as:

• ¼ Head of Extensions – 30 to 40 strands
• ½ Head of Extensions – 41 to 79 strands
• Full Head of Extensions – 80 to 150 strands

Once the consultation is complete, you prepay for your extensions and we order them in. The speedy delivery service means we can make your booking on the same day as the consultation and you can have your extensions in as soon as in 1 to 2 days time (depending on stylist availability).

The day of your extension application

The team at Lily Jackson Hair & Make Up specializes in providing clients with impeccable service. We’re here to ensure your experience is relaxing, enjoyable and most of all, rewarding. On the day of your appointment this means greeting you with a smile, offering you a warm beverage and settling you in with our extensive selection of great magazines and reading material.

Because you are generally here for 3-4 hours for the application we’ll arrange to collect lunch from a local café/restaurant for you, provide you with wifi connection if you need to do some work, provide you with beverage and treat top ups, ensure your car is paid for if you are in metered parking, and of course engage you with great conversation with your extensions specialist!

Maintaining your extensions

Your extension specialist is there to provide you with all of the information you need on how best to care for your extensions. If you have any questions feel free to ask during the application. We want you to be 100% confident in how to maintain salon perfect extensions at home. From washing to brushing to styling, extensions need specific care. As well as the information provided to you on the day, you will receive a maintenance guide and an invitation to return to the salon in 2 weeks time to follow up on how the extensions are working for you.

Your specialist will also provide you with advice on the haircare products you should use to maintain the health of the hair.
